Wow! This summer has been flying by already! There is so much to read and so little time! I had envisioned having my own little summer reading soiree, sitting by the pool enjoying all these great books. That’s why I chose two amazing books to read for the Book Brigade during the month of June. I was not accounting for nearly chopping my finger off with a food processor blade and having to stay away from pool water. Now add to my mix that, when we did get to the pool, my son washed my phone with the pool towels while trying to be helpful. You could say that Periscoping about these amazing books has been quite a bit more challenging than I had expected!
Satan Can’t Stop Us!When you are getting ready to do something good, Satan puts all kinds of things in your way. Click To Tweet
You have probably heard the old adage that when you are getting ready to do something good, Satan puts all kinds of things in your way. I believe that is partially what has been going on with the Book Brigade this month. These books have such great tips and knowledge, that Satan doesn’t want us to read, or for me to share what I am learning! That is all the more reason for you and I to grab a copy of these books, get out there, and start reading and applying what we are learning! No matter what tries to get in our way, let’s get out there and make this happen! Watch for me on Periscope @MinivanMin, as well as on Facebook Live. I will be talking about these amazing books. We will be changed for the better!
Submit yourselves therefore to God.Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 ESV

The Mission Minded Family
The Mission-Minded Family: Releasing Your Family to God’s Destiny is another great book that is for the entire family. I am especially excited about this one because I have met the author, Ann Dunagan. She is such a sweet, genuine woman who truly has a heart for missions. She is bursting with joy and love for the Lord, so I know her book will be no different. Teaching our children to care for others and share the love of Jesus is one of our main goals for them. That makes The Mission-Minded Family: Releasing Your Family to God’s Destiny a must-read!Teaching our children to care for others and share the love of Jesus is one of our main goals. Click To Tweet
