by admin Leave a Comment

Most of us have been there.  Perhaps you don’t feel fat, but you feel something--something that makes you feel less than. Here we are, faced with a new school year or some new opportunity. Yet something whispers in your ear, “You aren’t enough.  You aren’t going to accomplish these things. You’ve never been enough.” I have news for you...That is … [Read more...]

Family Worship:  The Time Is Now

by admin Leave a Comment

The time is now for family worship.

Many people participate in a series of advent studies and celebration that point us towards the true meaning of Christmas.  After that?  Crickets!  Many of us spend large amounts of time making ornaments and various other crafts and gifts to really drive the point of Jesus home.  Then December 26th rolls around and we are willing to just let … [Read more...]

Describing God’s Indescribable Love

by admin Leave a Comment

I was given a copy of Indescribable in exchange for an honest review.  I can honestly say that before I learned that I was chosen to do a review, I picked up this book in the bookstore and got very excited about it!  All thoughts and opinions on it are completely my own.   None of us can describe the indescribable love of God, yet that is … [Read more...]

Teaching Your Kids to "Fear Not" This Halloween...or Anytime!

Whether you celebrate Halloween or not, it’s hard to escape the season.  All you have to do is walk into Walmart, and an evil witch with green skin and fiery eyes is there to greet you.  Take a few more steps and you run into the aisle covered with ghoulish sounds and fake bloody knives.  I’m all for a some good pumpkin fun, but the scary stuff can … [Read more...]

Creative Ways to Teach Little Ones to Have Thankful Hearts

You wouldn’t think that teaching your kids to have a thankful heart should be difficult. For some reason, however, it is.  My oldest is now ten. Even though we have been teaching him to say his prayers nearly his whole life, he still rushes through the thankful part to get immediately down to his wishlist.  My other two sometimes have similar … [Read more...]

Amazing Homeschool Resources from Psycho With 6

I just love that name, don’t you?  Psycho With 6?  I think we can all say that we feel a bit “psycho” at times!   The name Psycho With 6, however, refers to Dr. Melanie Wilson, a homeschool psychologist turned homeschooling mother of 6.  (That could make anyone a little bit psycho at first, don’t you think?!)  You can check out her blog, Psycho … [Read more...]

How to Teach Reading and Writing That Will move Your Child's Soul

It’s that time of year when most of us are in limbo.  Our summer has officially begun (or has already been going for a while).  We have a little time before the mad rush of autumn hits us in the face as we dive back into routine.  We know that if we give up just a tiny bit of our summer to plan for the upcoming school year, we can have a year that … [Read more...]

Instagram post 2140173294753944163_2263400667 How is your school year going? This has been our best school year ever! My kids agree. The difference? I decided to jump in and go full-on Charlotte Mason. I had followed some of her methods before, but this year I jumped in with both feet. A huge part of knowing how to do that was this conference right here. It was a game changer. You can bet that I will be watching the sessions again throughout the year and every summer as I plan my upcoming year. This week only the price is slashed to $15. If you want a more peaceful school year and to truly enjoy what you are called to do, please check this out! (This is an affiliate link you can copy and paste, but I meant every word and it won't cost you any extra!) https://theycallmeblessed.teachable.com/p/2019-charlotte-mason-online-conference?affcode=73637_4dkaoqqy
