If you are like me, you have little ones who want to be just like you. This is both an honor and a really scary concept! Sure there are things I want my children to emulate in my life, but there are dark areas that I have struggled with for years. Luckily, usually, the good shines brighter.
Bible journaling is one of those areas that I would love for my children to emulate. It is refreshing for me. I want it to be refreshing to them. I use to be artistic as a child, but I let that slide as I “matured.” With the recent popularity of Bible journaling, I have been encouraged to let a bit more of that creativity back into my life. Consequently, my crafty daughter is all about it! I wasn’t sure that I wanted to buy her a Bible journal with the hefty price tag that sometimes accompanies them, so I came up with the idea of making these Bible Journaling pages for kids.
Biblical scribes were known for their Bible wisdom because it was their job to study the scriptures, write them, and write commentaries. It’s not surprising that those who wrote the Word would know it best. Writing helps us remember and meditate as we write. Bible journaling helps us meditate on the Word and think of it’s meaning. As we write the Word, emphasize certain words, and illustrate it, the Word takes on new meaning.
As we write the Word, emphasize certain words, and illustrate it, the Word takes on new meaning. Click To TweetFor the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 ESV
When I created these pages, I wanted them to be doable for a variety of ages, with the fun look and feel of the modern journaling Bibles. I chose to focus in on one or two verses, creatively written. Even though the font is pretty, it works well for boys or girls. It is also simple, so that students can trace it in whatever colors they choose, and still be getting basic handwriting practice. There is plenty of room on the side for students to draw or paint an image with whatever medium they choose. You can choose whatever Easter verse you or your child find most meaningful, or do them all as they walk you through the Easter story. If you wish, you could make them into a special Easter book, or get a notebook and start your own Bible Journal. There are lots of options! Whatever you choose to do, I hope you find these Bible journaling printables for kids meaningful and a special part of your Easter celebration.

Thank you. Most of what we do has to span the ages of 2-9, so it’s not always easy, but I am so glad my kids like to do things together.
