*** I was given a 3 month subscription in turn for an honest review of Crossflix.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  I promise to always be honest with my Minivan Ministries community!

I am always thankful any time I can find good, wholesome entertainment for my family.  Where television and movies come into play, it gets even harder.  It is especially nice to have more than one option for good, wholesome entertainment.  It wasn’t long ago that I posted about Pureflix.   Today I want to present you with another option…Crossflix.

A Parent's Guide to Crossflix

The Interface

The interface of Crossflix could be improved a bit.  For example, I would prefer that all of a certain series be grouped together, but currently each episode is listed separately.   I would also like to see a little more information about the movie before clicking it, such as who are the stars and when the movie was made.

I do appreciate that it is clean and clutter free.  The categories are listed plainly.  You can find:

  • New Releases
  • Features and Crossflix Originals
  • Faith
  • Family
  • Children
  • Comedy
  • Action and Adventure
  • And more!

Our Favorite Finds

My Kids’ Favorites

My Kids found a few shows that they enjoyed.  Preschoolers will enjoy Rainbow Valley, a cute little cartoon about a fire department and the lessons they learn there.  Bugtime Adventures was a new find for us.  Real Bible stories were told alongside fictional accounts of a bug’s life.  The Torchlighters Series is always a favorite amongst mature elementary students who want to learn stories of real missionaries.

My Favorites

My Mother’s Future Husband was a cute movie about a girl who wanted her mother to find true love.  It’s great for a night with the girls.  The daughter comes up with a dating service scheme to find her the perfect match.  Just when she thinks it has worked, there is trouble in the air.  All the while, she is experiencing difficulties in her own love life.

Hell and Mr. Fudge was by far the most interesting movie that I saw.  It was based on a true story about Edward Fudge, a man that was paid to research the realities of Hell. The movie made me consider a different perspective that I had simply dismissed before.  All of it was presented through a biblical lens, however, and really got me thinking!  I am usually more of a comedy kind of girl, but I appreciate other genres, especially when I come away challenged to pursue the truth.  If it weren’t for Crossflix, I probably would have never stumbled upon this movie. For that, I am grateful!

Great News!

Thanks, your review helped me not select crossflix due to the so called Christian movie Hell & Mr. Fudge (similar to ‘the Shack’ author, both don’t believe in hell), who knows what else they have as Christian movies. Throughout the Bible what God has said is constantly being compromised by what the rest of the world says. Eve had the devil via snake distort what God had said, the people of Israel didn’t do what God said and over time left completely following God, the wisest King in Old Testament, King Solomon inter-married with other cultures (against God’s laws) and fell away from God due to his wives other God’s getting mixed into the one true God (exactly what God warned against). In the New Testament, Jesus Christ the Son of God, Paul and others from God are constantly warning us about distorted false believes. The Bible clearly tells us there is a Hell and it was created for the angels that rebelled against God, and men, who also choose not to follow God do therefore follow the devil. Jesus said we are either for Him or against Him Matt. 20:30. As a Christian now for 38 years, i realize that the power of a Holy life in God is only known and experienced by the presence of God indwelling us. Moses said, if your presence does not go with us Ex. 33:15, God responded saying His presence would be with him. Moses knew without God’s presence he would be utterly on his own to know God, which is impossible. It seems maybe many Christians now a days hardly know the basics in the Bible, which is scary to me for them. The Bible does say in the last days there will be when good is called evil and evil called good Isa. 5:20, that many will fall from the presence of God 2 Thess. 2:1-3 Paul near his life end spoke to the roman counsel repeatedly about the great judgement day and how men need to know they will be judged by every word and deed we do before God Acts 24:25 Make sure you read the Bible and verify what you hear from others, and go to a church that teaches the word of God, it will always lead back to Jesus Christ, He is the only way to God. Study God’s word’s humbly and seriously, in Prayer it is God who comes and fills you with Him. Both reading God’s word (listening to Him) and praying to God (talking, pour out heart, be still before Him) are how we are transformed by God Himself, not by any intelligence, man’s wisdom, etc. it is completely heavenly from the very throne and person of God.

I’m glad this review helped you. You are completely right about reading and studying the Bible for yourself. While I don’t agree with Mr. Fudge’s view of hell, it was eye-opening to see why some people might lean that direction. I hope you found a Christian video streaming service that will work for you.
