With Christmas day fast approaching, I want to pause for a moment and send my crazy Christmas card greetings to you and yours. Thanks so much for spending time with me and becoming part of Minivan Ministries!
When I was in high school, I went to church camp. There was a lady there with a crazy flower in her hair. It definitely wasn’t fashionable, but it made you smile, and almost laugh to look at it. She noticed someone smiling at her and said, “Did it make you smile? If it did, then it was worth it.” She had no idea that that brief moment in history, when she wasn’t even talking directly to me, would shape my thought process for the rest of my life. There are lots of times I know I look silly or make mistakes, but if I make someone smile in the process, it is usually worth it. We don’t always have to look our best. It is enough to just make someone smile. Enter the crazy Christmas card…
Our first photo Christmas card was your traditional Christmas card in front of the house. I even had on a Christmas sweater! (Sorry I couldn’t find that one!)
The next year, we took a quick shot with some large candy cane props. We thought we would snap a few funny ones just to be silly. As it turned out, we like the silly ones the best. Thus, our crazy Christmas card tradition was born…
And last, but not least, here is this year’s card…
There you have it! I adore seeing sweet family photos of family and friends. I love photography so much that I even enjoy looking at photos of strangers sometimes. If you do traditional photos on your Christmas cards, chances are that I will love them them. I just like to take this opportunity to hopefully send a little Christmas laughter.
“Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift.” 2 Corinthians 9:15 HCSB

Love the progression. I had the privilege of seeing the lead singer of KISS at a convention. He wasn’t too bad!

What a fun progression! These are all so creative. I particularly liked the Batman themed ones. Although the Nashville one was pretty cute too.
