If you are one of the lucky ones, you have already found a Bible study that you love. Even so, we can all use a change of pace sometimes. Here are two more life-changing Bible studies that you should consider trying out this year…
Community Bible Study
The most in-depth Bible study that I have ever found... Click To TweetCommunity Bible Study is an inductive, international Bible study for people from all walks of life, regardless of age or denomination. No matter where you live, there is a good chance that there is a local group near you.
Two years ago I heard other moms raving about it and decided to check it out. I am happy to say that I found the most in-depth Bible study that I had ever done. Not only that, but there were classes for my kids where they were learning the Bible too.
Instead of topical studies, Community Bible Study focusses on learning as much as they can about a particular book of the Bible over the course of a school year. My elementary students and I studied our own workbooks covering the same books. Preschoolers, toddlers, and babies all learned an overview of the entire Bible.
If you are looking for a community and want to dig into the word, look for a Community Bible Study in your area. It may be the best part of your school week! If you cannot find a group, they have slightly different versions available for independent study at home called Engaging God’s Word.
Grapevine Bible Studies
Love to draw? Can't draw? Either way, this Bible study is for you! Click To TweetOf course, there are some people that don’t have a Community Bible Study near them or it doesn’t work for their schedule. Or, perhaps, you participate in Community Bible Study, but there are still other topics you want to study on your own. Maybe, like us, you want to do your Community Bible Study as part of your school day and do something else with dad at night. Grapevine Bible Studies are a fantastic way to do this!
Grapevine Bible Studies combine Bible study with easy drawings that cement Biblical concepts. Studies are available in preschool, early elementary, elementary, and middle school levels. Parents, don’t let that stop you from jumping in and having fun! You can enjoy drawing at any age! Just choose if you want to do a topical study or an overview of the New or Old Testament. Many of the studies work together so that you can teach and your children can all be working at their own levels. Then you teach the lesson and show students how to draw pictures that retell the story. (Anyone can do it because it’s stick figures!) Preschoolers can trace drawings. As students get older, they are expected to write more. If you have a budding artist, this is a great way to connect them to God’s Word! And right now Old Testament packages are 20% off!

My favorite are the in-depth ones. I went to a Calvary Chapel for quite a long time for that very reason!

These are ones I had not heard of before. I love learning about the Bible and have such a long reading list, but I can’t help it. I keep adding new books.

Really appreciate the tip on community Bible studies. My current church does not offer small groups (I know, it’s crazy!) and I really miss that closer fellowship. Will definitely be looking for a community Bible study or something comparable in my area.

The men’s group my husband was attending took it one book of the Bible at a time. I think they spent an entire year on Genesis! However, it gave them the opportunity to really delve deep.
And we have enjoyed several of the Grapevine studies in the past, too.

This is great. I love the idea of studying the Bible and getting very familiar with a particular book of the Bible. Thanks for the post.
